Themes
This two-day conference will hold two themes: National eID card in day one and ePassports on day two. There will be one theme per day and the agenda for the two days includes talks in the mornings and round table and/or panel discussions in the afternoons. Lunches and a dinner will provide opportunities for networking. Topics covered: National eIDs, EAC standards, travel documents, KMS, usage of passport outside the EU, data protection, identity and privacy, different uses of eID (Business-to-Business / Business-to-Consumer / Citizen-to-Government), cross border eID, border control, interoperability, weaknesses & strengths, risks, practical experiences, failures versus successes, update on status as to where different countries are regarding eID and ePassport solutions. The aim is to encourage active participation via open discussions and business case oriented round table discussions.

The two-day Conference, supplemented by interactive mingle and networking activities, will gather together a panel of top-level government representatives and key players in the eID and ePassport industry.
This event will focus on the drivers behind the digitalization of citizen ID documents, the usage beyond its initial purpose, the status of deployments all over the World and the evolution of these documents. Round tables and panel discussions will be the perfect backdrop for highly participative discussions and analysis of the most crucial issues.
